Ứng dụng tiến bộ khoa học - kỹ thuật trong bảo vệ rừng, nâng cao tính đa dạng sinh học ở Khu Bảo tồn thiên nhiên Xuân Liên

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Khu Bảo tồn thiên nhiên (KBTTN) Xuân Liên (Thường Xuân) có 23.816 ha rừng đặc dụng, trong đó có trên 5.000 ha rừng nguyên sinh là nơi phân bố các loài hạt trần quý hiếm, trong đó điển hình là quần thể cây samu, pơmu cổ thụ hàng ngàn năm tuổi, đường kính tới 4m, được công nhận là cây di sản Việt Nam. Hiện khu bảo tồn được coi là trung tâm đa dạng sinh học (ĐDSH) đại diện cho khu vực Tây Bắc và Bắc Trung bộ.
