Theo THX, vào lúc 22h41 ngày 20/4 giờ địa phương (tức 21h41 cùng ngày giờ Hà Nội), tại Trung tâm phóng vệ tinh Tây Xương, Trung Quốc đã đưa một vệ tinh mới thuộc Hệ thống định vị Bắc Đẩu (BDS) vào không gian.
